I started my real estate career in 2002 in small rural town in Central Missouri. When I obtained my real estate license, I had just opened a new brokerage and convinced a experienced and established broker to join me and be the managing broker. She was an amazing mentor and very invested in my education and future success.

Years later I moved to Illinois where my husband Eric was born and raised. At that time, Peoria was a big city compared to what I was used to. I, honestly, wasn’t sure how an agent covered such a big geographic territory. In 2013, with a small child still adjusting to a new hones and new school, I thought it best to start on the administrative side of real estate while I became familiar with the area. That’s when I met Adam Merrick who was looking for an Executive Assistant. Needless to say, all these years later, I am now the President of Adam Merrick Real Estate.

Adam has been the most amazing person to work for and to partner with professionally. I’ll never work for anyone else if I can help it. The uncertainties that I had about continuing my real estate sales career in a new area, were completely resolved by Adam and his approach and the way that he structured his real estate team. That was an AHA moment for me. Why wouldn’t I want to take the parts of the real estate profession that I was best at and liked doing the most and let someone else who is better suited at doing the things that I don’t love? Not only do we all get to do our favorite part most of the time, but we are also able to provide a much higher level of service.

When I joined the Team, Adam Merrick was already #1 in the Peoria market and throughout the years it has been our goal to beat ourselves every year. It’s really about constantly improving and providing the best service and results to our clients. We specialize in launching new real estate careers because Adam and I both know how hard it can be to get going. Most new agents fail and we aim to education and train new agents to ensure their success. Because of our Team structure we are able to create a family atmosphere where you are never in it alone, which is incredibly valuable in this highly competitive industry.

The people on this team are the highest caliber at what they do. They double, triple even quadruple what others do in their best year. That’s because we work really hard. I’m good with working hard. I love it. But being able to do it with other smart, talented people is so much fun! The best part for me? Even after almost two decades in this business, it is NEVER boring. I need to be challenged and I need to feel like I’m part of something that is helping people.

My big picture goal is to share knowledge and coach other agents like my mentor did for me. This business can be brutal, but if we stick together and work toward a common goal, we can achieve our wildest dreams.
